Turmeric Mask for Acne & Blackheads
Yields: Enough for one application Prep time: 5 minutes Cost: $5 - $10 CAD
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon turmeric powder (food-grade)
1-2 teaspoons of a non-comedogenic liquid (choose one):
Water
Plain yogurt (for added moisturizing)
Honey (for antibacterial properties)
Aloe vera gel (for soothing)
Optional: a few drops of a non-comedogenic oil (like those listed previously such as sunflower oil)
Equipment:
Small, non-metallic bowl
Non-metallic spoon or spatula
Instructions:
Combine Ingredients:
In the non-metallic bowl, combine the turmeric powder with your chosen liquid.
Stir until you form a smooth paste. Add more liquid if needed to achieve a spreadable consistency.
If using oil add this now, and stir well.
Apply the Mask:
Apply the turmeric paste evenly to clean, dry skin, focusing on areas with acne and blackheads.
Avoid the eye area.
Let it Sit:
Allow the mask to sit for 10-15 minutes.
Rinse Thoroughly:
